Event Changes
We shall for Sept drop to just 1 group flight each week this will be on Sunday, 1730Z prep departs around 1800Z.
Website
The way the lessons are categorised will be changed this month to make navigating easier. As I talked about in the last update the clubs will now become based around the divisions.
Stats
I would like to thank each of you who flew last month and include the remark IVAOVA/VAC for people that fly around at 120 Knots most of the time in small 2 or 4-seater planes i think we did very well.
Let’s see if we can beat this in September.
Staff Positions
Now i have resolved the permissions issue, i am going to start looking to recruit some staff members.
Events Manager
The events manager will be responsible for creating and managing an events team. You will recruit people to help you create events for all the clubs and coordinate days and times between the different clubs. At the moment since we lack any event planners you will be planning the events, this will take depending on the number around 3-5 hours per week, but this should reduce once you recruit event planners.
Requirements
You must be over 16 and have sat your GCSEs; they are much more important than this.
Have the required time to give to the community
Be able to handle criticism and feedback without taking offence to everything.
Event Planner XU
You will be working with the EM to create events for your assigned club, in this case XU. I would assume this role would take less than 2 hours a week.
I am open to allowing anyone to give this ago, however, if under 16 you need to prioritize school so if this becomes too much you need to let me know.
Tours Manager
You will be responsible for creating tours and validating legs. You can also recruit new team members to assist with future clubs.
This role is less time-consuming since we have 4 tours running, we will require new tours to be created for new clubs but the time scale is much larger than with events.
Since this role should not take at the current time any more than 20 mins a week I am open to having no requirements.
Social Media Manager
We need either a person or a few people who understand social media and can start giving us a positive presence on social media.
Requirements
You must be over 16 and have sat your GCSEs; they are much more important than this.
Have experience with different social media platforms.
Be able to create and edit videos
Be able to create graphics where needed.
